The label "Chouette Nature" was initiated and developed in 2004 by Cap France, one of the first community tourism organizations, in order to reconcile the pleasure of tourists and sustainable tourism.

Currently, 48 resorts, including The Auberge Nordique are labeled. More information on www.chouettenature.com

Since December 1979, The Auberge Nordique offers "all inclusive" cross country skiing and hiking holidays, and also discovery of the mountain and of human relations. Every activity is organized by mountain professionals.

L'Auberge Nordique is in the process of the "Chouette Nature" label since the end of summer 2010. The Auberge Nordique team develops the label by concrete actions every day.

"Chouettes" projects

- Improve procurement policy for food, for example by favoring the products of sustainable agriculture,

- Collect rainwater for flowers.

"Chouettes" actions

- Organization of sorting and creation of a composting,
- Removal of individual packages,
- Propose and develop products fair trade,
- Creation of a discovery path "Trees and birds' nests,"
- No use of pesticides or weedkiller,
- Check water consumption and electricity in order to reduce,
- Eco-offset their travel ... and many other environmental actions!

You and "Chouette Nature"

- For your picnics at the Auberge Nordique, take your reusable "covered picnic" (plate, cup, knife, fork, spoon) in order to reduce consumption of disposable packaging.
